The Air Car

Now isn't this neat? We don't have to fight about fuel!..

Many respected engineers have been trying for years to bring a compressed air car to market, believing strongly that compressed air can power a viable "zero pollution" car. Now the first commercial compressed air car is on the verge of production and beginning to attract a lot of attention, and with a recently signed partnership with Tata, India’s largest automotive manufacturer, the prospects of very cost-effective mass production are now a distinct possibility. The MiniC.A.T is a simple, light urban car, with a tubular chassis that is glued not welded and a body of fibreglass. The heart of the electronic and communication system on the car is a computer offering an array of information reports that extends well beyond the speed of the vehicle, and is built to integrate with external systems and almost anything you could dream of, starting with voice recognition, internet connectivity, GSM telephone connectivity, a GPS guidance system, fleet management systems, emergency systems, and of course every form of digital entertainment. The engine is fascinating, as is and the revolutionary electrical system that uses just one cable and so is the vehicle’s wireless control system. Microcontrollers are used in every device in the car, so one tiny radio transmitter sends instructions to the lights, indicators etc

Happiness

Contrary to what your culture and religion have taught you, nothing, but absolutely nothing, can make you happy. The moment you see that you will stop moving from one job to another, one friend to another, one place, one spiritual technique, one guru to another. None of these things, can give you a single minute of happiness. They can only offer you a temporary thrill, a pleasure that initially grows in intensity then turns into pain if you lose them and into boredom if you keep them." Anthony de Mello

To acquire happiness you don't have to do anything, because happiness cannot be acquired. Does anybody know why? Because we have it already. How can you acquire what you already have? Then why don't you experience it? Because you've got to drop something. You've got to drop illusions. You don't have to add anything in order to be happy; you've got to drop something. Life is easy, life is delightful. It's only hard on your illusions, your ambitions, your greed, your cravings. - Anthony de Mello

Love

"What is love?"
"The total absence of fear," said the Master.
"What is it we fear?"
"Love," said the Master
- Anthony de Mello

Understand the obstructions you are putting in the way of love, freedom, and happiness and they will drop. Turn on the light of awareness and the darkness will disappear. Happiness is not something you acquire; love is not something you produce; love is not something you have; love is something that has you.

Labels

The important thing is not to know who "I" is or what "I" is.  You'll never succeed.  There are no words for it.  The important thing is to drop the labels.  As the Japanese Zen masters say, "Don't seek the truth; just drop your opinions."  Drop your theories; don't seek the truth.  Truth isn't something you search for.  If you stop being opinionated, you would know.  Something similar happens here.  If you drop your labels, you would know.  What do I mean by labels?  Every label you can conceive of except perhaps that of  human being.  I am a human being.  Fair enough; doesn't say very much.  But when you say, "I am successful," that's crazy.  Success is not part of the "I".  Success is something that comes and goes; it could be here today and gone tomorrow.  That's not "I".  When you said, "I was a success," you were in error; you were plunged into darkness.  You identified yourself with success.  The same thing when you said, "I am a failure, a lawyer, a businessman." You know what's going to happen to you if you identify yourself with these things.  You're going to cling to them, you're going to be worried that they may fall apart, and that's where your suffering comes in.  That is what I meant earlier when I said to you, "If you're suffering, you're asleep." Do you want a sign that you're asleep? Here it is: You're suffering.  Suffering is a sign that you're out of touch with the truth.  Suffering is given to you that you might open your eyes to the truth, that you might understand that there's falsehood somewhere, just as physical pain is given to you so you will understand that there is disease or illness somewhere.  Suffering points out that there is falsehood somewhere.  Suffering occurs when you clash with reality.  When your illusions clash with reality when your falsehoods clash with the truth, then you have suffering.  Otherwise there is no suffering.- Antony De Mello

As you identify less and less with the "me," you will be more at ease with everybody and with everything. Do you know why? Because you are no longer afraid of being hurt or not liked. You no longer desire to impress anyone. Can you imagine the relief when you don't have to impress anybody anymore? Oh, what a relief. Happiness at last! You no longer feel the need or the compulsion to explain things anymore. It's all right. What is there to be explained? And you don't feel the need or compulsion to apologize anymore. I'd much rather hear you say, "I've come awake," than hear you say, "I'm sorry." I'd much rather hear you say to me, "I've come awake since we last met; what I did to you won't happen again," than to hear you say, "I'm so sorry for what I did to you." - Anthony de Mello

Relationships

Your first relationship, must be with your Self. You must first learn to honor and cherish and love your Self.

You must first see your Self as worthy before you can see another as worthy. You must first see your Self as blessed before you can see another as blessed. You must first know your Self to be holy before you can acknowledge holiness in another.

If you put the cart before the horse--as most religions ask you to do--and acknowledge another as holy before you acknowledge yourself, you will one day resent it. If there is one thing none of you can tolerate, it is someone being holier than thou. Yet your religions force you to call others holier than though. And so you do it--for a while. Then you crucify them.

You have crucified (in one way or another) all of My teachers, not just One. And you did so not because they were holier than thou, but because you made them out to be.

My teachers have all come with the same message. Not "I am holier than thou," but "You are as holy as am I."

This message you have not been able to hear; this is the truth you have not been able to accept. And that is why you can never truly, purely, fall in love with another. You have never truly, purely fallen in love with your Self.

"The purpose of a relationship is to decide what part of yourself you'd like to see "show up," not what part of another you can capture or hold.
There can be only one purpose for relationships--and for all of life: to be and decide Who You Really Are.

Bless, therefore, every relationship, and hold each as special and formative of Who You Are--and now choose to be.

Taming Tigers ??

Taming Tiger Arahant (Pindola)

Pindola was a Brahmin and a general. Because he was devoted to Buddhism, which forbids killing, he was ordered by the king to become a monk. He joined a monastery in the mountains where he could hear a tiger howling every day. He said that the tiger was probably hungry and should be fed some vegetarian food. Otherwise the tiger might become a man-eater. So Pindola collected food from the monks and put it in a bucket which he left outside the monastery. The tiger did come for the food every night. After a period of time, the tiger was tamed. Thus Pindola was referred to as the Taming Tiger Arahant.

These monks have raised and tamed several tigers. They take a young one out for a stroll in a pubic market to show how tame they are.

Emotions

What-ever you resist persists, what you look at closely with your attention disappears
(Thank-you teacher for reminding me of this)

I think everyone struggles with emotions at some point in there lives, I know I definately have, I was visiting a friend last night and I wanted to tell him about this break through I felt but I was not really able to explain coherently, the information was all scrambled up in my head, I said I would write a blog on it and wham I found this passage that was perfect I had to share it. It is quiet long so I have only written down the most significant bits.

 +++

You need emotion to connect you to your spiritual self. The mental body and physical body are linked as are the emotional body and spiritual body. The spiritual body is, of course, the body that exists beyond physical limitation.

Many of you dont want to go beyond these emotional barriers and through your personal boundaries because it might be painful. You'd like to say 'abracadabra' and just have them be gone. Pain brings you feeling. If you can feel in no other way, sometimes, in order to capture your attention as a stubborn human, you create pain to show yourself the range of your abilities and to bring yourself into life. In this way you can feel the richness of being alive.

Trust your feelings no matter what they are. Trust that they lead you to something and the way you feel can bring you a realization. You all want to be in life and removed from it at the same time. You say 'let me just be here and be a powerful person, but I dont want to feel or participate too much because it hurts too much and then I will get sucked down. I don't trust life.'

When you are not afraid of feeling, and you move past judgement and allow yourself to feel all the ways you feel, you will have a tremendous breakthrough because you will be able to ride feeling into other realities.
If you wish to have an acceleration, dive into something that brings up feeling, stop skirting the issue so that you can think you are in control. Its not that you dont know how to feel, it is that you are afraid of your feelings. You dont know what to do with them when you have them.

You have a boundary in your belief system that states that when something comes up that is emotional and brings pain or anger, then it is not good. It is time to stop tip toeing around things and avoiding your emotions.

Those that want desperately to avoid fear and anger, and who are really afraid of these feelings, have something great to learn through these emotions. They are techniques that move you beyond your personal boundaries of identity and behavior, and you are simply afraid to experience this.

Most of the time you just want to be accepted. You feel no one will like you if you do certain things or feel a cerain ways, so you dont give yourself permission to have those certain feelings. That is where the anger comes from. You have anger because you make judgements about what you can and cant do. If you do not give yoursef permission to feel, you cannot learn. Feeling connects you with life.

The Higher Good Beyond Good & Bad

BEYOND HAPPINESS AND UNHAPPINESS THERE IS PEACE

Is there a difference between happiness and inner peace?

Yes. Happiness depends on conditions being perceived as positive; inner peace does not.

Is it not possible to attract only positive conditions into our life? If our attitude and our thinking are always positive, we would manifest only positive events and situations, wouldn't we?

Do you truly know what is positive and what is negative? Do you have the total picture? There have been many people for whom limitation, failure, loss, illness, or pain inn whatever form turned out to be their greatest teacher. It taught them to let go of false self-images and superficial ego-dictated goals and desires. It gave them depth, humility, and compassion. It made them more real.

Whenever anything negative happens to you, there is a deep lesson concealed within it, although you may not see it at the time. Even a brief illness or an accident can show you what is real and unreal in your life, what ultimately matters and what doesn't.

Seen from a higher perspective, conditions are always positive. To be more precise: they are neither positive or negative. They are as they are. And when you live in complete acceptance of what is - which is the only sane way to live - there is no 'good' or 'bad' in your life anymore. There is only a higher good - which includes the 'bad.' Seen from the perspective of the mind, however, there is good-bad, like-dislike, love-hate. Hence in the book of Genesis, it is said that Adam and Eve were no longer allowed to dwell in 'paradise' when they 'ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.'

Labyrinth

Today my friends & I went out into the country side to walk a labyrinth at Celtis Lodge. www.celtislodge.co.za

Labyrinths represent the journey to our own center and then back out into the world again. They have long been used as meditation and prayer tools, helping one to centre and find balance.

As I walked the labyrinth I held a small peice of rose quartz in each hand and practised some conscious walking (mindful walking)
It was a great experience and although I was feeling quite out of it immediately afterwards, I am feeling a lot more balanced now :)

Teachings of Gautam Buddha

On Judgmental People:
People with opinions just go around bothering each other.

On Anger:
You will not be punished for your anger; you will be punished by your anger.

On Truth:
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.

On Work:
To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent.

On Friends:
An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.

Zero-Point

When a vortex attains a balance of energy, there is a zero-point energy at the center of the vortex. At that very moment the vortex evolves into a portal. This is part of all natural evolution cycles. Zero-point energy is the perfect balance of all energies and has been used on earth since the beginning. Even as we speak these words many are thinking that there is negative energy and positive energy that are canceling each other out to make a zero-point energy. That is not true. Zero-point energy is the true nature of everything. Keep in mind that energy is infinite so it exists in many dimensions. Zero-point energy is a measurable energy that represents the natural state at rest of the Universal Energy in whatever form it is taking at the moment.

You are just becoming accustomed to living in zero-point energy. At first is feels as if you are being held back, another reason some are feeling stuck. You are interpreting the lack of forward motion as being stuck, when actually you may have reached a zero-point energy in your life. This is actually the most powerful point a person can attain; meditation and many spiritual practices are all aimed at achieving moments of zero-point energy. You are closer than you think.

Do you remember as a child that you loved to spin around? You were actually making a personal vortex for yourself attempting to re-member the zero-point energy that you live in when you are Home. This is the same secret that led to the formation of the Dervishes of the Mevlevi that you know as the whirling Dervishes -- the sacred practice of forming a portal from a vortex. Now the process is much quicker. A personal vortex can easily be created with just a thought. It is now possible for everyone to live every moment of daily life in zero-point energy.

I can feel the changes happening..

The world as it appears to us now is, as I said, largely a reflection of the egoic mind. Fear being an unavoidable consequence of egoic delusion, it is a world dominated by fear. Just as the images in a dream are symbols of inner states and feelings, so our collective reality is largely a symbolic expression of fear and of the heavy layers of negativety that have accumulated in the collective human psyche. We are not seperate from our world, so when the majority of humans become free of egoic delusion, this inner change will affect all of creation. You will literally inhabit a new world. It is a shift in planetary consciousness. The strange buddhist saying that every tree and every blade of grass will eventually become enlightened points towards the same truth.

I'm still Human

"In The End"

One thing, I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know
time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It’s so unreal
Didn’t look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn’t even know
Wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried
it all fell apart
What it meant to me
will eventually
be a memory
of a time when I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
One thing
I don’t know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To remind myself how
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I’m surprised it got so (far)
Things aren’t the way they were before
You wouldn’t even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me
In the end
You kept everything inside and even though I tried
it all fell apart
What it meant to me
will eventually
be a memory
of a time when I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There’s only one thing you should know
I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
There’s only one thing you should know
I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn’t even matter

All is Well

We're asking you to trust in the Well-being.
In optimism there is magic.
In pessimism there is nothing.
In positive expectation there is thrill and success.
In pessimism or awareness of what is not wanted, there is nothing.
What you're wanting to do is redefine your relationship with the Stream.
We do not ask you to look at something that is black and call it white.
We do not ask you to see something that is not as you want it to be and pretend that it is.
What we ask you to do is practice moving your gaze.

Practice changing your perspective.
Practice talking to different people.
Practice going to new places.
Practice sifting through the data for the things that feel like you want to feel and using those things to cause you to feel a familiar place.
In other words, we want you to feel familiar in your joy.
Familiar in your positive expectation, familiar in your knowing that all is well, because this Universe will knock itself out giving you evidence of that Well-being once you find that place. We have enjoyed this interaction immensely.
There is great love here for you. We are complete

Pain and "Bad Things"

Pain results from a judgement you have made about a thing. Remove the judgement and the pain disappears. Judge not, and neither condemn, for you know not why a thing occurs, nor to what end.

And remember you this: that which you condemn will condemn you, and that which you judge, you will one day become.

Why God Lets Bad Things Happen?

Adapted Excerpt #1

God does not interfere with our choices

There is perfection in the process—and all life arises out of choice. It is not appropriate to interfere with choice, nor to question it.

Adapted Excerpt #2

We must not disown our creations

There are no victims in the world, and no villains. And neither are you a victim of the choices of others. At some level you have all created that which you say you detest—and having created it, you have chosen it.

So long as you entertain the notion that there is something or someone else out there "doing it" to you, you disempower yourself to do anything about it. Only when you say "I did this" can you find the power to change it.

The first step in changing anything is to know and accept that you have chosen it to be what it is. If you can't accept this on a personal level, agree to it through your understanding that We are all One. Seek then to create change not because a thing is wrong, but because it no longer makes an accurate statement of Who You Are.

In the largest sense, all the "bad" things that happen are of your choosing. The mistake is not in choosing them, but in calling them bad. For in calling them bad, you call your Self bad, since you created them.

Adapted Excerpt #3

We all are the root cause

Adapted Excerpt #4

Group consciousness and disharmony through competition

Because it is My Will that you should know, and experience, Who You Are, I allow you to draw to yourself whatever event or experience you choose to create in order to do that.
